Financing

Valorlux is based on the principle of economic viability. Thus the following will be carried out :

control of proper collection and sorting;
checks of the use and payment of the Green Dot contributions by industry.

The value of the Green Dot contribution is an economic expression of the recycling of packaging materials from selective collection and sorting up to final processing. The amount to be paid for the Green Dot depends on the weight of the packaging.

The companies licensed have to declare once a year the total number of packs they put on the market.

The value of the Green Dot contribution is an economic expression of the recycling of packaging materials - from selective collection and sorting up to final processing. The amount paid for the Green Dot depends on the weight and type of material of the packaging. Companies licensed have to declare the total number of packs they put on the market once a year. The codes and files are the same as in the Belgium FOST Plus system. As an additional service, VALORLUX has developed simplified declaration procedures that are available under grouped contracts which can be signed by the Federations.
