DSD (Germany), owner of the Green Dot trademark, has assigned the license to administer the use of the trademark in Canada, the United States and Mexico to Green Dot North America, in order to protect the integrity of the 'Green Dot' trademark as an international symbol of a company's commitment to protecting the environment. 

Green Dot North America was established to oversee the work of licensing users of the 'Green Dot' in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Green Dot North America is responsible for ensuring that the companies selling or distributing products in North America that carry the Green Dot are authorized to use the trademark there.
