Sekopak d.o.o. was founded in 2006 as a non-profit packaging waste recovery organization. We were formed by a group of companies (most of them operating in FMCG and packaging industry) who recognized overall social and environmental interest in packaging waste recovery system which was about to be established. In 2009, Serbian Government officially adopted new Law on Packaging and Packaging Waste based on the principle of “extended producer responsibility” (back bone of new Law was European Directive 94/62/EC).  Along with the new Law, Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning declared supporting by-laws giving the state guidelines in a form of the Plan for packaging waste reduction defining national targets for recovery and recycling until 2014. We are proud to announce that Sekopak successfully fulfilled national targets for 2010 and 2011.

Since 2009, Sekopak is exclusive representative of Green Dot symbol and system in Serbia.

Our main goals can be described as follows:

  • Fulfilling the taking back obligation for packaging waste;

  • Meeting National recycling and recovery targets;

  • Collecting, sorting and recycling of all types of packaging waste;

  • Sekopak d.o.o. will continue to run and develop the national wide system for waste packaging
