Financing
Financing
The parties responsible for placing a product on the national market – producers, importers and distributors of private labels – finance the collection, sorting and recycling of the packaging waste. They delegate their legal responsibility to Fost Plus and finance the system via the Green Dot, depending on the composition and quantity of the packaging.
By the end of 2010, 5.235 companies joined Fost Plus, paying a contribution. These contributions enabled the financing and coordination selective collection and sorting of household packaging waste, in collaboration with the intermunicipal authorities.
